Headstand

These days, everything seems so crazy upsidedown. If I stand on my head, will it all make sense, or ring true? Today, defenders of sovereignty and civil order are deemed occupiers, while ruthless attackers are heralded as heroes, even as they hide behind civilians used as human shields, war fodder, intended media casualties.

When did wrong and right get sold off at the same price? A soulless bargain only to those who worship violence like a faith, with public chaos and a zealous march towards one-world dominance, one belief by decree, the modern fascist god of fear. Decency, peace, and security all huddle together in the same bullied corner, while vile, heinous acts have their own channel recruiting many more eager viewers.

An industry of anarchic atrocity grows so large for a voyeuristic mob that cannot create more deadly platforms fast enough. While mayhem sells, ratings climb, young folks crow and cower with chants on college campuses, more hating, more death.

Upsidedown is the new paradigm of logic. Compass points flip between normalcy and lunacy, while common morality is relative to whoever is in the crosshairs. Courage must win this war against the rule of terror, or yet another hostage will be taken, as evil regimes reign over helpless victims.
