The Constitution is non-partisan.
Love or hate isn't the issue. What has happened here? I suspect it is something quietly horrible. Something that should frighten everyone who cherishes our free society. Rationalize fairness, you then dilute its credibility.
And, someone please explain these whacky polls. How is it true that most folks understand that billionaire Soros' stooge, DA Bragg, has indicted Trump for political reasons- to prevent his candidacy or chances for success- and also, polls say most Americans favor this indictment? That's how much folks dislike the former President?
We're willing to overlook a legal travesty, a case so weak even the prosecutor, after filing the case, doesn't want to deal with it again until December? Why the obvious shelving and outrageous delay? Because the big headline and lasting media frenzy was already achieved. Damaging optics realized, or so the almost rabid Trump haters hope.
His own sketchy political record aside, the point is still embarrassingly true. Paraphrasing the very popular President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, who recently wrote a tweet saying, 'You can no longer ever, ever, ever lecture us about democracy when you prosecute the man who is running against your president on made-up charges; we don't want to hear from you anymore. You've lost your credibility, America, in talking about democracy.'
Going after even a hated and feared individual like Donald Trump, instead of the purported crime in a thin ruse everyone recognizes, is an utter abomination of the values and spirit of our legal system. Instead, it's what dictators and dictatorships do.
We have endangered our Republic with this bogus indictment, we've crossed a line that defines our unique identity. The painfully clear criminalization of political opponents is disasterously contrary to our Constitution and seperation of powers. It threatens the foundation of our civil security. It is as un-American as racism, mob rule, or elitist tyranny. No free people should ever sink this low, or foolishly risk their sacred liberty.
